Kierkegaard on Newspapers

In lieu of posting something substantive, here's a Kierkegaard quote:

"There is a far greater need for total-abstaining societies which would not read newspapers than for ones which do not drink alcohol."

BUT HOW WOULD WE KNOW WHO IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT SECRETARY OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY?????????

Since I have not tried alcohol (and will not the next six days), I cannot attest to which is more valuable. However, I do rather like knowing who will replace Spencer Abraham. When Bill Richardson left the post to become Governor of New Mexico, I wondered who would replace him. I, like Jaocb, see little harm in this sort of curiosity.

Mmm...alcomahol....

Mmmmmm.....forbidden donut.....

Mmmmmm...the Scott Peterson trial...

Oh, and by the way--yes, it is 4:00. In the morning. It's homework time! (and only three hours until the papers come!)
